Sync to Outlook Calendar
Put every dock appointment on the Outlook calendar your team already uses. Works with Microsoft 365 work accounts and personal Outlook.com accounts. Connect once, pick which locations to mirror, and we keep it in sync.
Open Connected accountsWhat a synced event looks like
Each SimpleDock appointment becomes an Outlook event titled Door 4: Inbound dry van — Acme Freight on the calendar you choose. The event body lists the carrier, contact, driver, trailer, PO, and notes, along with a link to manage the booking. The facility address goes in the location field. Switch scenarios to see how the event changes.
A confirmed booking appears on the calendar you picked.

Connect in three clicks
- 1Open Settings → Profile → Connected accountsFind the Outlook Calendar card and click Connect.
- 2Sign in with MicrosoftPick the work, school, or personal Microsoft account you want to sync to. SimpleDock asks for permission to read your basic profile and to manage calendar events. It only creates, updates, and deletes the events it made. It doesn't read your mail or your other events. If you see "Need admin approval," send your IT admin these instructions.
- 3Pick the calendar and the locationsChoose which Outlook calendar receives events (your default calendar or one you created, like "Dock Schedule") and toggle on the SimpleDock locations you want to mirror.
What stays in sync
Sync runs one way, from SimpleDock to Outlook. The Outlook event reflects what's in SimpleDock. Edits you make in Outlook don't change SimpleDock.
| When you… | Outlook… |
|---|---|
| Confirm a booking | Event appears on the chosen calendar |
| Edit details, time, or door | Same event updates in place |
| Cancel the appointment | Event is removed |
| Turn off a location | That location's events are removed |
| Switch target calendar | Events move to the new calendar |
| Disconnect the integration | All synced events are removed |
Troubleshooting
- "Need admin approval" — your organization only lets admins approve third-party apps. Send your Microsoft 365 admin Approve SimpleDock in Microsoft 365. Once they approve it, click Connect again.
- A booking isn't on the calendar yet— requests that need approval sync once they're approved. Changes usually show up within a minute.
- "Connection inactive — reconnect to resume syncing" — Microsoft revoked access. This usually happens after a password reset, when an admin removes the app, or when a sign-in policy changes. Click Reconnect.
- Can't see a calendar in the dropdown — only calendars the connected account can edit show up. Calendars shared with you as view-only are hidden.
- Event details show the time zone as UTC— events are sent in UTC, and Outlook shows them at the right local time for everyone who views them. Only the event's details pane lists UTC as the original time zone.
- Disconnecting — open the dropdown next to Connected and pick Disconnect. Synced events are removed from Outlook. Your SimpleDock appointments aren't affected.
