Frequently asked questions
- Which AI assistants work with SimpleDock?
- Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok in the browser, desktop, and mobile apps, plus developer tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and VS Code. Any assistant that supports remote MCP connectors with OAuth can connect.
- Is it safe to let an assistant change my schedule?
- The assistant acts as you and can never do more than your role allows. Dock Staff can read the schedule and mark trucks arrived, completed, or no-show, Schedulers can also book and manage appointments, and only Admins can change location setup. You approve what it can do when you connect, and you can disconnect it in one click from Settings → AI assistants.
- Do I need to be technical to set it up?
- No. You paste one link into your assistant's connector settings, sign in to SimpleDock, and click Approve. There's no key to create and nothing to install.
- What's MCP?
- MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, and other assistants use to connect to outside apps. SimpleDock runs an MCP server, which is why you can add it to any of them with the same link.
- Which plan includes AI assistants?
- Every plan, including the free one. Your assistant can do anything your plan and role allow, so Pro features like analytics and extra locations still need Pro.
- Can my whole team connect?
- Yes. Each person connects their own assistant and signs in as themselves, so every change is tied to the person who asked for it. Admins can see and disconnect every assistant on the team.
