Sync to Google Calendar
Every appointment shows up on the calendar your team already lives in. Connect once, pick which locations to mirror, and we keep both sides in sync — including status changes.

Each SimpleDock appointment becomes a Google Calendar event titled Door 4: Inbound dry van — Acme Freight on the calendar you choose. Toggle status to see how the event updates in place — no duplicates.

Connect in three clicks
- 1Open Settings → IntegrationsFind the Google Calendar card and click Connect.
- 2Approve on GooglePick the Google account you want to sync to. SimpleDock requests permission to manage calendar events you create — nothing else. We never read your existing calendar entries beyond the list of calendars you own.
- 3Pick the calendar and the locationsChoose which Google calendar receives events (your primary calendar, a shared "Dock" calendar, etc.) and toggle on the SimpleDock locations you want to mirror. Each location can sync independently.
What stays in sync
We mirror the appointment one-way (SimpleDock → Google). The Google event reflects the SimpleDock state, not the other way around — edits in Google won't change SimpleDock.
| When you… | Google Calendar… |
|---|---|
| Approve a booking | Event appears with a sky stripe |
| Driver checks in | Stripe turns emerald |
| Reschedule the time or door | Same event updates in place |
| Cancel the appointment | Event marked cancelled and struck through |
| Disconnect the integration | All synced events are removed |
Troubleshooting
- "Connection inactive — reconnect to resume syncing" — Google revoked the refresh token (usually because the password was changed or the OAuth grant was revoked). Click Reconnect; new appointments will resume syncing within a minute.
- Can't see a calendar in the dropdown — only calendars where the connected account has Make changes to events permission show up. Ask the calendar owner to share that level with the connected account.
- Events don't show on a teammate's calendar — events land on the calendar you picked. To share them, share the calendar itself in Google Calendar settings.
- Disconnecting — open the dropdown next to Connected and pick Disconnect. Synced events are removed; SimpleDock appointments are untouched.
What about Outlook?
Not built in yet — but most teams pipe events to Outlook via Zapier or a custom webhook and the Microsoft Graph API. Tell us if Outlook native sync would help — we prioritize integrations by who's asking.
